CPCCA INQUIRY PANEL TO CONTINUE THROUGH PROROGATION
CPCCA Inquiry Panel to hear additional witnesses including Hon. Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism
(January 11th, 2010)
The Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Antisemitism will continue to hear testimony from professionals throughout the Canadian justice and law enforcement system as it prepares to wrap up its hearings.
The CPCCA has heard compelling testimony from representatives of the Ontario Provincial Police as well as the Police Services of Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa. In an effort to learn more, the CPCCA has invited Chiefs of Police and Attorneys General from across the country to testify before the Coalition on February 8th.
More university presidents are being invited to testify on January 25th as well in order to gain a cross-Canada picture of antisemitism on university campuses
“The breadth and depth of experience these witnesses have will do a lot to augment our understanding of the present situation and will thoroughly inform our coming recommendations.” said panel Chair Mario Silva.
Once the hearings are completed the Inquiry Panel will write a report to be published and presented to the Government of Canada in the spring of 2010.
